I was about to post a list of things I learned this summer. When I got to number five, the only thing I could think to write was "5. Livejournal doesn't help anything." So, it occured to me that it may be the time to leave. The people who really matter know how to reach me in other means, anyhow. My email is LazyLiberalRevolutionary@hotmail.com and it is now the only way to contact me online, besides the random myspace comment.
I wish all of you wonderful lives. Goodbye, LiveJournal.

Dream 1: The other night, I had a dream that I was in the audience for "The Two Gentleman of Verona" (which is playing tonight at 7pm, at La Costa Canyon High School. Also, next week, on the 27th, at 7pm, in La Jolla.) Anyways, I was sitting in the audience, well aware that I was watching "The Two Gentleman of Verona" though it was obviously not. A big neon stage, suspended over a creek. Guess Aurora made an impression on me when she handed me the flyer.
Dream 2: Last night, I had a dream where I was in a very large theatre. An opera house or something to that extent. I don't know what I was there to see. It seemed like some sort of award show. Beats me. All I know is I ended up moving to sit next to Willie Nelson, near the back. After a few minutes, Tommy Hilliard (of Mira Mesa High), sat on his other side. Willie Nelson was upset when Tommy leaned over him to grab a program, very much encroaching on his personal space. When the show was over, I walked Willie Nelson to the three-story parking structure. He told me he had to catch a plane to Detroit.
So, there you go. That all must say something about me. I think I'm just really missing Theatre. It's going on all around me, yet I'm no part of it. I look forward to the new semester at Mesa. I never thought I'd be looking forward to the end of Summer.
If you're wondering what is happening in my life right now, there's not too much to say. Since getting back from vacation, I've had a decidedly happier outlook on friends, ex-lovers, and life in general. I think I can now say, in all sincerity, that Life is Good. Maybe not great, but good. I discussed some of my friend problems with a wise (and quite lovely) older woman, and she was able to offer some surprisingly helpful advice. She told me something to the effect that friends drift apart, but if it is meant to be, they'll drift back, in time. I don't like to pay a lot of heed to matters of fate, but the advice helped ease my troubled mind.
Oh, besides all that "emotional" stuff, I've just been working regularly. First half of the week at Sea World, second half at Edward's 18 Movie Theater. Working at Sea World is a lot of fun. Working at Edward's can get a little trying after hours of doing concessions. Ushering is nice though. I had Sarah over the other day, and that raised my spirits. Just yesterday, I took Kate out for some soup, which also did wonders for my mood. In case you were wondering, those are some girls from the Mesa College Theatre Company. Well, not Sarah anymore. She's going to Palomar. Hrmph. Erika is a lovely woman I met at Reggae on the River and we've had an email correspondence going on since then. Actually managed to spend some time with Yve, and her wonderful family, while she was in town. Watched a movie entitled "In Smog and Thunder," which is about a fictitious war between the communities of Los Angeles and San Francisco. I recommend it. I think the trick with visiting Yve is to just show up. Calling the cell phone won't work in most cases, and even appointments made over LJ comment can be risky, so I just kind of show up at her home when I know she's in town. At the very least, I can say "hi" to Georgia and squeeze in some art conversation. Not like you readers, aside from Yve herself, really care about the last few sentences, but, hey, I can write anything.
Let's see if there is anything else on the top of my head. Hmm... Monster Manor is starting up soon. Don't know how much I can devote myself to the cause this year. What, between work and theatre, I don't know how I'll squeeze in a costumed role in the haunted house. I guess it's time I pass the torch to the next generation of haunters... What a sad state of affairs. Oh well, I'm sure the Monster Manor will continue to thrive. People do love haunted houses, after all.
That's about all I can think to write about right now. I'm sorry I don't write in this livejournal very frequently. If you're ever wondering what I'm up to, you're always welcome to email me at LazyLiberalRevolutionary@hotmail.com I try to reply the same day. Hope to see you all around.

I've come back from Humboldt a new man. You'd be surprised what you can learn in a week away from home.
If I've ever borrowed anything from you, you can expect to see it on your doorstep this week.
The time has come to leave the old behind and start anew. Debts paid, favors done, and ties cut off.
To quote Cassi, "Good bye, old world."

I've been in a terrible mood lately. I've been driving away some of my favorite people through the things I say and do. Now, when I'm online, I get paranoid as to whether someone's away or just prefers not to talk to me. That's why I've decided to stay offline for a bit. It won't be so easy for me to screw things up with anyone else.
I was going to make a picture post of 'Things I Miss' with random pictures of people and places. They're all extremely easy to guess, I'm sure. I'd name the people, but what's the point? Everyone should know I miss them without me making it blatantly obvious over a damned addictive medium like Livejournal. That means you.
Saturday is neither Pride nor Street Scene for me. Instead, I'll be attending a friend, Nicole's Barbecue.
Next week, I'll be in Humboldt County. Reggae on the River. Hopefully, with the famed Yve. With my luck, it wouldn't surprise me if she couldn't come for some reason. But.. darnit. This is the pessimism that's driving people away. I used to be such an optimist up until an event that happened July 6th. Happy C.J. is gone, but I'm trying to find him again. So, yadda yadda, blah blah blah. I'll be back August 10th. Till then.

May I return to the beginning. The light is dimming, and the dream is too. The world and I, we are still waiting, Still hesitating. Any dream will do.
I hope you enjoyed my random lyrics of the day. They hold a very special significance to me, and many wonderful memories. Lovely, silly, beautiful memories.
I'm about to leave for the Labyrinth Ball. (www.labyrinthmasquerade.com) My costume is all set and I'll be sure to take pictures. I'm quite excited about running into Andi there. Sharon and her boyfriend are going as well. Amanda too, I think. I hope I can actually find these people in a crowd of.. I don't know how many. This will be my first time at the masquerade and I'm not sure how it works. All I know is I'm a dark green Faerie and I intend on dancing my wings off.
In other news, I'll be taking Yve up to Reggae (www.reggaeontheriver.com) come August. You don't know how excited I am to introduce Eevee to this veritable symposium of hippie culture. She'll fit right in, I'm sure. That and I finally get to introduce my brother to someone, since he never comes down to San Diego. Good stuff.
Other than that, life is pretty dull. I work a lot at Edward's Cinema, selling popcorn and sweeping.. popcorn. I'll be starting at Sea World in a matter of weeks. The hiring process is dreadfully long. Here's to one month of working at Sea World before I quit for college! *Cheers*
I know I said I was going to post a "tell-all" thing. Well, a few things have changed since then. Besides, my personal life isn't so exciting anyway. I hang out with Cassi, Nick, and Chad when I can. I've been spending time over at Laura's house in preparation for tonight's ball. I enjoy talking to Andi when she's not killing herself in the Sea World kitchen. I dig a girl or two at work, but that's neither here nor there. Also, all you girls who date marines (Linda, Kelly, Kristie) are silly. I've been in better contact with my very first girlfriend, Veronica. She's grown some cute pink hair (all natural, of course). Also been chatting up with Lauren #1, my third-to-last ex-girlfriend. She's doing well, and a 28-yr old on the side. I spend a night or two with my bestest friend, Karyn, every week or so. When time allows, of course. I take a walk with Larisa every so often and I love every minute of it. Especially when we decide what life would be like if people didn't eat or drink. That's about all I do with my life, folks. Occasionally, I slip in some time with Mikhaela or some chats with the lovelies of AIM. Even got to be stroked by Big Joe last night. If you're anticipating mention of Lauren, well, there's your mention. There's nothing to say about that anymore. We're not friends anymore, for reasons I'm not going into, though I try to send her a friendly wave "Hello" when I see her. And I'll be seeing more often than she'd like, considering our mutual friends and proximity to eachother. I've said too much already, sheesh. Life is good, I stuck too much rambling into one paragraph, and I love you guys. Especially Miss Jenni Powell. She's hot. There, that was just to test if she actually reads through my entire post. If so, the hotness stands. If not, boo, she's not hot anymore. But she totally is. Simmer down, C.J., simmer down.
That's all folks. If you'd like to see a movie sometime, give me a call. We shall steal from The Man and see movies for free. One of my perks. Take care. Namaste.

So, I've got two jobs now. One at the Edward's 18 Cinema. Another one working tech at Sea World. I'll see if I can work 'em both, with funky hours and whatnot.
In other news, I've been working lighting for CCT (Christian Community Theatre)'s production of 'Grease' on the top of Mt. Helix in La Mesa. Long, long nights. 9pm to 5 or 6am nights. Working high up on a truss. It's hardcore lighting. Been learning a lot from Chad and Nick. Good experience.
And now for something completely different:
I got a flat tire last night. There was a spare tire in the middle of the road. I ran over it. I got a flat tire. I got a flat tire from a spare tire. I mean, how freaking ironic is that? The powers laugh at my plight.

So, I was watching 'King of the Hill' on Fox. This commerical came on for "Fox Rox" which is, apparently, a local music show they've got going. Now, that's just fine and dandy. I do enjoy music and all. All I'm saying is that the new character for "Fox Rox" appeals very much to furries.

The little banner ad doesn't do the "human-animal hybrid with a high degree of sexual appeal" idea justice.
Fox shall now be known to me as a purveyor of: Crappy reality TV shows, two good non-cancelled cartoon series, and furries. That is all.

So, I'm getting behind on my updates again. Would you like a nicely labeled post? Too bad! Eh... (I just had an impulse to do my post like a textbook outline. Am I missing high school? No.. NO!)
Saturday: To start off my day (at noon), I was driven to La Jolla Shores by the lovely Jen Ruark and the decidedly less lovely Scott Ruark. Upon arrival, we met up with Brenda Stevens, Jenni Powell, and family. Had some delicious "special" brownies and a number of mutated cupcakes. Indeed, I had a wonderful time with the older siblings of the drama-nerds I love. I'm not sure if LJ is the place to make suggestive comments but: Jenni Powell - *insert lusty growling noise here.* There, that's how a computer nerd flirts. Through LiveJournal, complete with actions in asteriks. Also, Happy Birthday, Brenda!
After that, I headed over to Mikhaela's birthday bonfire. Sat with her and chatted. On the way back to my other party, I came across a tanning Diane. Therefore, I sat with her and chatted some more. Very good stuff.
I tell you what, LJ folks, I have a resume to need to fax in so prepare for the Abridged Abridged Abridged version of my week.
After Miki's bonfire, I went over with Cassi to help Chad and Nick take down lights at CYT. Denny's afterwards.
Sunday: Filmed a lot of the Drama Awards movie with Cassi, Edward, and Chad. Spent some time with my loveable, yet rambunctious little nephew, August. Probably Denny's afterwards?
Monday: I don't remember what I did on Monday. Hmm.. Watched "Spaceballs" at Nicole's house with Mr. Roy. At some point during the week, Nick and I took Cassi's antenna-ball hostage and made her chase us around the neighborhood in her car. Definitely Denny's afterwards.
Tuesday: Turned in my application for a technician job at Sea World. They told me I needed a resume so I'm faxing that in.. very soon. I'll have to shave my beard if I end up working there. :-/ I decided to go into Sea World and check out the penguins. I visited Daniel and Andi at their restaurant. That's always exciting. If I start working there, I'll see them more often than I do by simply running into them everywhere.
Yve and I spent a good chunk of time together Tuesday night. Went and got coffee at an unnamed coffeehouse. Sat around with Katie and Haley outside of Jamba Juice for a long time. Liz Ingrum stopped by and we talked with her a bit. Yadda yadda yadda. Drug stuff, solemn stuff, other stuff. There was a lot of conversation, trust me. Anyways, onto yesterday!
Wednesday: Filmed a bit with Nick, Chad, Cassi, Edward, and James. Yes, even James. The movie is going to rock, to anyone who doesn't already know this. If you're in the area of Mira Mesa on the evening of June 10th, feel free to stop by Mira Mesa High School and watch our Drama Awards Show movie (and then leave before the actual awards are given). Later that night, Karyn and Jen stopped by and Nick and Chad went to Denny's.
That brings us to today. Jen and Kare-Bear left this morning. As for the present, umm.. I'm going to fax something and then probably play an hour or two of Pokemon. After that, it's anyone's guess. Namaste.

| Mood: | sleepy | | Music: | Rent - La Vie Boheme |
Today started off on a sour note. I had meant to wake up early and work on an art project or two for Mama Laris. Send them into her by 10:30AM and all. Well, I woke up at 11:51AM. Blast my alarm clock!
Eventually, I donned my fancy-ish clothes and headed for the Mira Mesa Market Center. I picked up an application for Aaron Brothers and pestered Barnes & Noble. If I don't get a call back soon, I'm going to have to start getting.. creative. Persistence isn't enough, I'm gonna have to make 'em see I'm something special. Hrmph.
I met a girl, Paige, on myspace and got to chatting with her. Well, I walked around the mall with her a bit and checked out a bit of the lovely establishments. Ran into Becca and Linda at Barnes & Noble. Got a bite to eat at Rubios. Yadda yadda. If this journal wasn't public, I'd tell you what was in my head during the whole encounter. *Insert more ambiguity here*
Lounged around at home afterwards. Tried to think up something to do with my night. Andi mentioned Rocky, but I was a bit too tired and.. broke. Same goes for dinner with Ari, Jeska, and Adam. By the way, this Rocky girl is amazing at replying to comments/posts. You'd better get a chat program in this attic of yours, Andrea! LJ comment strings take too long for conversations. Anyways, I tried calling Cassi but she was taking a nap. So, I called MaryJo and she was going to a dance thingamajig at Scripps and said she'd call afterwards. Mikhaela popped online and toyed with the idea of coming to watch Empire Records. Alright, fast forward a few hours: *swoosh* 9:15 or so and nobody's called back. Apparently, I had my phone on silent. Cassi and Jeska called about hanging out. Soo.. Nick calls and I tell him that I need to call somebody first (since I had "plans" with other people) and blegh. So, I call MaryJo and she's hanging out with Rose, Asta, and Poke. I learned later that it was Oscar, not the Rose that I thought it was. Miki couldn't go out either. So I call Nick back and tell him I can hang out. Cassi gets upset at being Plan B. I drive over there and I see them running for Cassi's car. They start it up, so I jump on (as is usual for this scenario). She drives about two blocks at 20-25 mph with me hanging on the back. Then.. I get off and she won't let me in, and proceeds to drive to Nickel City sans me. Fast forward half an hour: *swish* We all go to Nickel City and.. blegh.. I'm getting tired. I'm gonna cut off my post early.
I've got to rest up for my numerous beach parties tomorrow. Brenda and Mikhaela's birthdays! Hoorah!

Well, so much for that semester. It's finally over, with the
exception of one or two art projects which I will email to the
wonderful Mrs. Laris in the morning.
Theatre class today involved a slideshow, some random
movies, and a very touching goodbye to the second years. They're going
off to do bigger and better things now. There's a lot of love in our
theatre company and it's sad to see them go. I just can't wait until
the fall when I get to embrace a whole new group of newbies! I'd better
read a ton of plays this summer...
Sorry if I lose my train of thought. It's about... 4:10AM.
For the purposes of this post, I'll call it 4:20AM. Enjoy, my hippie
friends.
After the theatre's Farewell Ceremony, I drove over to
Laura's house. I just have to say that the 805 during rush hour scares
the bejeezus out of me. I guess it's good that I get used to the
frantic freeways, this being California and all. Still, I had to merge
twice in a minute. Crazy roads. Anyways..
Went to a costuming class with Laura, Ari (Laura's
girlfriend), Cat (Laura's sister), Robin (Laura's mom), and Jeska. They
fitted me a bit more for the wonderful Dark Faerie costume that I'll be
wearing to the Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball
this July. Go if you can! Afterwards, Laura, Jeska, Ari, and I all hung
out at Lestat's for a good while. Then we all went to Laura's house and
basically laid in her bed till 3:30AM. A whole lot of chatting and,
somewhere in the middle of it, I had my fingernails painted black.
I hope that goes over well tomorrow, while I try to check the status of
my applications. Maybe I should wear my black clothes and big leather
trenchcoat to really make some impressions on the managers... Eh,
earth-tones it is. Wish me luck!
